Northern Serengeti wildebeest Migration Safari by the Mara River starting from July, August to September, the Mara River in northern Serengeti affords the most dramatic river crossings. The biggest attraction to the Serengeti is the Wildebeest Migration. A natural phenomenon like no other. It begins in the Serengeti National Park near the Kenyan border, when huge herds of wildebeests head for the greener grazing grounds of Kenya. The Migration starts in April each year. The herbivores of the Serengeti migrate across the southern plains, closely followed by the predators including large prides of lions.
A Tanzania visit is incomplete without visiting this amazing park. The Serengeti home of the Wildebeest Migration is one of Africa’s true great parks.

Day 1: Arrival –Kilimanjaro airport
Pick up from Kilimanjaro airport on arrival and transfer you to The Arusha Hotel or Impala hotel for your safari briefing and overnight stay.BB breakfast booked
Day 2: ARUSHA to LAKE MANYARA NATIONAL PARK
we will pickup you from shuttle bus stand and proceeds to Lake Manyara National Park. Although small in size, this park is one of the most diverse reserves in the country. Lake Manyara covers two thirds of the park. At the backdrop is the wall of the Great Rift Valley, before which lies the groundwater forest, areas of open grassland near the lake foreshore, and the Soda Lake. We enjoy a picnic lunch in this area, which consists of open grassy areas, hot springs, dense woodlands and steep mountainsides. Lake Manyara National Park is a birding paradise that has more than 350 species of bird. The park is also famed for its unique and elusive tree- climbing lions. Day 3: MANYARA- SERENGETI
After breakfast depart 07:30 for Serengeti passing through Olduvai Gorge, the site of the Leakey family discovery of fossils of human and animal ancestors dating back to almost two million years. Olduvai Gorge is a canyon carved by water through the southern part of the Serengeti Plain. The gorge is about 50 km long and in some places 90 meters deep. It drains the slopes of the nearby mountains plus the Serengeti Plain. Its chief claim to fame is the rich treasure-trove of human and animal fossils that it has yielded. Day: 4: Full DAY SERENGETI NATIONAL PARK
this day after breakfast at 07:0 we will take your packed lunch for a full day game drives in the wilderness tracking the Great migration trails. Thorough explanation about this great world event that Tanzania proud of will be provided. And in the evening as the sun goes down, drive back to the lodge for dinner and overnight Serengeti Serena lodge or Kati Kati Tented Camp FB included
DAY 5: THE GREAT DAY FOR BIG FIVE AND WILDEBEEST MIGRATION
After breakfast take a packed lunch with you and continue with game viewing around Ndutu are on Southern Serengeti Park. The migration can be seen on a long chain approximately 40 Km heading to the south western direction. Around 1230 and 1300 break for your lunch, After lunch have a rest for one hr, and then proceed with your game viewing following the move of the migrants on the southwest of the park. Aprox 1.3 million wildebeest, 250,000 gazelles and 200,000 Zebras have been recorded sharing the short grass/ water which are the source of food for the millions of Animals in this South Area. Day 6: SERENGETI TO NGORONGORO CRATER
After breakfast we have yet another game drive before proceeding to the next highlight of our Tanzanian safari – the incredible Ngorongoro Crater. We will use the Malanja Depression route allowing us to see many Masai villages enrooted. Overnight: at Ngorongoro serena hotel or Ngorongoro wildlife lodge full board included
Day 7: NGORONGORO CRATER
this day we will start early morning at 06:00 for the game drive (with a picnic lunch) inside the Ngorongoro Crater. As very few animals migrate in and out of the crater with its 2000 ft. high walls, you can expect to see lions, elephants, zebras, hippos, flamingos, jackals, rhinos, antelopes, many birds and other species. Your Driver/Guide will be in contact with other safari drivers and will amaze you with his skill at locating the hidden animals. After great all exploration in crater the drive will drive back to Arusha.for overnight at The Arusha Hotel or Impala hotel bed and breakfast included
Day 8: Shopping and Depart
This day after good breakfast you will have time to make shopping around Arusha city and after that will be good time to go airport for your flight back hope
